1. Publicly, we'd like to keep this a PG-13 game. Having said that, adult themes and content are welcome here as long as they are consistent with your character and the storyline(s) and participants are over the age of consent in their area. Please post appropriate warnings on logs, however, and keep questionable content in posts and comments to an ABSOLUTE BARE MINIMUM. We realise this is a slight change from our original policy. If you have any questions, contact the mods.
2. Both Het and Slash pairings are welcome here. Currently we're really interested in getting more female characters and straight male characters, because the slash is getting a bit overwhelming. If you have an idea for a girl or straight bloke, do please apply!
3. Players are required to make at least one IC journal entry a week. If you fail to post for two straight weeks without notifying the mods, your journal will be removed and your character will be made available to the public again. We understand about RL constraints and that things happen. We're not evil. But we get very frustrated when people do not let us know what's going on, and we spend weeks wondering, "Did they quit without telling us? Are they coming back? Did they fall off the edge of the world?" We're really quite understanding and not-evil, but please do communicate with us and try to stay in touch!
4. Be creative and have fun with your character! HOWEVER, we ask that your portrayal stay relatively faithful to the spirit of the canon.
5. All OOC comments or questions can be posted on our OOC community,

or emailed to the game moderators.6. All players must be able to provide a journal for their character. In the case of picking up a character that already has a history, we may ask you to use the old journal. We will provide you passwords and then it's yours to mess with.
7. We will not be accepting original characters until we've built up a strong base of canon players. Really, there are a WHOLE LOT of canon characters open at the moment, we're sure you can find someone you want to play!
8. Second characters will be given to existing players on a case-by-case basis. Mostly we want to make sure you have time to devote, because we know from experience that when people get too busy or have too many people living in their head, they stop being able to keep them all active. We promise, we have all learned this the hard way!
An extended version of "Incendio" Guidelines and Posting Rules will be emailed to every player upon acceptance into the community.
To Apply
E-mail the mods and include the following information:
1. Name (and current LJ, if you have one)
2. Email address we can reach you at (please use one you regularly check!)
3. Name of Desired Character
4. Brief biography/concept/history of your character. A few paragraphs is fine, and please include things like what classes they're best at, if you want them to play Quidditch, and if they are pureblood/halfblood/Muggleborn. You might also include some family history and a bit of psychology.
5. Short sample journal entry: don't worry, this won't be the one you're starting out the game with! It doesn't have to have anything to do with the actual current plot unless you want it to. It just has to give us an idea that you understand how this whole format works.
6. Any ideas about the direction you want your character to go.
7. Prior RPG experience. Keep in mind it's not necessary to have, we're glad to take on new players and we're happy to answer questions and groom you all into perfect little role-players. This just gives us an idea of how much we can expect to do that, and also if it's likely you'll have other game obligations besides this one.
8. Anything else you think we should know, or any questions you want to ask!
